Searched for the answer, couldn't find it, here I am.

I have two questions that have been on my mind for a while now and I haven't found any answers on my own so I turn to reddit.
Question 1: Is there a way to turn BTC in a wallet on blockchain.info or in the bitcoin-qt to USD?
Question 2: Is there a way to send BTC from a blockchain/bitcoin-qt wallet to a coinbase.com wallet?
Sorry for the beginner questions but hey we all got to start somewhere. Thanks!

I know this isn't moronic monday but.. If I have BTC in a bitcoin-qt wallet and don't have the blockchain downloaded, there no way to quickly send BTC from that wallet right?

Suppose the fork will go fine. Which wallet will it be the best one to use after it (or even from now, by having the full blockchain, like Bitcoin-Qt)

HELP! My bitcoins literally just disappeared when I tried to send them from my qt wallet to BTC-e... Not showing up on blockchain or in my qt wallet, they're just GONE.

So I sent 5.2BTC to this address:

And as you can see it has NOT shown up on the blockchain. WTF Is going on?? Did I just lose 5.2BTC?
Also on a semi-related note DO NOT send coins to BTC-e. I just sent 1 BTC from coinbase (as you can see on the blockchain it is 10+ confirmations) and it has NOT shown up in my BTC-e wallet. So they are currently NOT processing deposits.
I paid a 0.003BTC transaction fee for this transaction so that should not be the issue...

Bitcoin-QT, Electrum, MultiBit, Blockchain- My Wallet, Cold-Storage? What do you recommend someone that has never owned bitcoins?

I'd appreciate some expert knowledge, as all the information I read doesn't justify one service over the other. I'd like personal tales and relatable comments. I've read the Getting Started guide multiple times. Personally leaning towards having 'cold-storage' and putting a USB drive in my sock drawer at home. Please give me serious suggestions and ideas.

Why does blockchain.info not agree with my bitcoin-qt wallet that has only one address?

So my issue is that Blockchain shows a different amount than my qt wallet that has only one address in it. I am up to date on all the blocks. However there is one transaction on the blockchain.info website that I never sent from my address and it does not show up in my wallet. https://blockchain.info/tx/8fa52306101c4605aa8689767ad20c0ef35aa71dbd913e08224e1a095b576af1 How is that possible? Also the address the 1btc was sent to is 15GoDKid4X25yLEErS4b6gPQeqfcJVRJLa
The address has "GoD Kid" ... coincidence or hacker?
How do I know how much I have at this address? Do I look at my personal wallet or the blockchain? and keep in mind I only have one address in my wallet. I want my 1 btc back...lol
Edit: Issue was resolved (coins are safe) but it is still unknown why I was not able to retrieve the private key from my most up to date wallet, but was able to get it from a backup.

Blockchain.info and Bitcoin-Qt wallet values are different.

In my Bitcoin-Qt wallet, it says I have 1.085 BTC but when I look at my address in Blockchain.info it says I have 1.019 BTC.
I looked through the transaction history for both and it seems almost all of my sent values are higher on Blockchain then in Qt. (Last 7 Transactions)
Does anyone know the reason for this? I know that the one's in my Qt wallet are the correct amounts I sent, but why are the one's on Blockchain different?
I've already re-downloaded the block chain on my QT wallet. and it still showed the same value.

Blockchain and BitCoin QT sharing same wallet...

So I started out with a blockchain.info wallet, which I got on very well with: using easily, web access, client side encryption etc...
I then ventured into BitCoin QT, which I downloaded and synced with the swarm, but now I have two wallets...
What I am wondering, is am I able to export my blockchain.info wallet.dat, into BitCoin-QT so that I am running a single wallet in bit instances?? (Also would prefer not to switch blockchain to the wallet setup in BitCoin-QT which I know you can do (importing into blockchain.info) - basically I would like to export my blockchain.info wallet...
Also, might I run into any issues if I manage to do the above?
I am running BitCoin-QT on OSX if that is of any significance...
Thanks!

Was using bitcoin-qt on OSX, blockchain got corrupted and now it is impossibly big to re-download, what thin clients can I import my wallet.dat into?? OSX 10.7.5. I already tried electrum and looks like I'd have to build it from github, can't figure it out. please help.

Send help! is there a safe way I could download a torrent of the blockchain? i tried to reindex the blockchain (after my harddrive got unplugged while bitcoin-qt was running) and it looks like it would literally take a week of spinning my poor laptop fan balls out.
edit: wallet.dat is encrypted and safely backed up.

photorec finds lost wallets on DESTROYED storage devices, Bitcoin-QT, Blockchain.info and now Armory wallets too.

update of this post: http://www.reddit.com/Bitcoin/comments/1byfy0/photorec_able_to_find_lost_wallets/
answer from christoph grenie:
<< Bitcoin-Qt is the most important one and most used. Armory is the most secure client and widely used. If you could recover this format, people would love you.I dont know much about the other clients. There are even more than just those 4. I suggest you support armory.>>
Done! I have added Armory detection in latest PhotoRec 6.14-WIP. Can you test it ?
I am not using armory, so maybe someone would test it and i am not sure if photorec recovers encrypted wallets.

Wallet Question: With an offline Armory wallet do I really need Bitcoin-QT? Can't I just generate an address on the offline computer and add that address to my Blockchain.info account as a watch only address? From there won't I be able to receive payments and view the balance?

Or am I missing something (like all of my bitcoins)?

Please Help! I just sent 105 mBTC from my Bitcoin-qt wallet to my Blockchain wallet and it cost me 1.05 BTC. I don't get it...

Here's the link to the transaction.
At first, I thought I accidentally changed the transaction fee to a ridiculous amount, but according to that link, there were no fees associated with the transaction.
So what the hell is this address, and why does it contain 945 mBTC of my hard-earned coins?
I assume that if it was a mistake I made, there's nothing I can do except learn from it, but I can't even identify how it happened.
Any information or advice would be appreciated.

When importing a wallet.dat file from an encrypted Bitcoin-QT to blockchain, does the password of bitcoin-qt become the password on the blockchain wallet?

What I'm trying to do is move my coins from bitcoin-qt to my Electrum wallet because the block database got corrupted and I'm tired of having to always rebuild it when this happens.
I'm quite nervous about moving my coins around like this without knowing exactly what I'm getting into. Is there a better way of doing this?

How do I move private keys from Bitcoin-QT to another wallet without having the blockchain downloaded?

I currently access my bitcoins on Bitcoin-QT and have used a pretty good passphrase to encrypt the wallet.dat file. I would like to eventually move my coins to a paper wallet for offline storage, but currently want to get my coins over to blockchain.info (I set it up the account on a thumb-drive linux system with 2FA and a great password). I've read instances of people decrypting their wallet, then finding some unknown malware on their computer immediately emptying their wallets. I don't want to rely on the computer I currently have my wallet.dat file on just in case this happens to me. I'm trying to get my private keys into something like electrum or multibit using pywallet to decrypt my wallet.dat on a fresh linux system (thumb-drive again). However, the format from pywallet doesn't seem to be right to get it on electrum nor multibit.
Is there a special way to extract the private keys from wallet.dat to import them into multibit or electrum? I don't think using Bitcoin-QT on my thumb drive is an option since the blockchain is so huge and I think the blockchain is needed to do anything with Bitcoin-QT.
I didn't find too much help via google or the security guide on the right side of this page.

I've got Armory running on Bitcoin-qt with the full blockchain synced. I've encrypted my Armory wallets (plural) with one very long password. I've got a separate wallet for savings and cash. I'm good right?

I don't have another computer and don't fully trust my computer's won't get stolen, so don't want to go cold storage. But besides that I should be pretty solid on security right? That whole "change" thing kind of freaked me out where people were losing bitcoins, but Armory states it's paper wallets only need to be back-up once and only once.
I'm done trying to comprehend it all for now, so can I rest assured that Armory has it all figured out and as long as I follow their UI prompts I'm safe?

how to make transactions with 0 fee in bitcoin-qt? I've set 0 fee at configs and .conf file but whenever i send it sets an amount for fee.. (it's possible because blockchain.info wallet can do it)
